About Us

This research project was started in 2011, with the aim of determining whether or not Jamaica's climate and soil could support the cultivation of the Malus Domestica ( American Apple). At present, the project as successfully grown over 100 young apple trees. Varieties such as Gala, Red Delicious and Granny Smith were used in the experimentation due to their heat resistance capabilities.

  1. Your seedling trees will not bear apples like their parents, but most likely sour duds. However you can graft good varieties onto them. You can see our catalog of suitable varieties at www.kuffelcreekapplenursery.com and our USA website at www.kuffelcreek.com
